Description
The Giant Revolt Advanced 3 brings the carbon Revolt platform within reach for riders moving up from an alloy gravel bike. It keeps the composite frame, in-frame storage and flip-chip versatility that define the range, but pairs them with an approachable Shimano GRX 2×10 drivetrain so you get long-haul comfort and capability without paying for top-tier groupset polish.
Frame & ride
The frame is Advanced-grade composite, with dropped seatstays and slim tube profiles tuned to take the sting out of broken farm tracks and gravel washboard. A two-position flip chip on the rear dropout swaps between a snappier wheelbase and a longer, more stable setup with extra tyre clearance, up to 53mm in the long position. The Contact XR D-Fuse handlebar and D-Fuse composite seatpost flex slightly under load to ease the chatter that creeps in on bigger days, and an integrated down-tube storage compartment swallows tools, snacks and a spare tube.
Drivetrain duties go to Shimano GRX RX-400 2×10 shifters and matching front and rear derailleurs, an FSA Omega 32/48 chainset and a Shimano Tiagra 11-34 cassette, a sensible all-round range for mixed terrain. Shimano GRX RX-400 hydraulic discs with 160mm rotors handle braking, and the bike rolls on Giant P-X2 Disc alloy rims set up tubeless ready with Giant Crosscut Grip TR 700x40c rubber.
