Description

The Giant Revolt Advanced 1 is a 1x gravel weapon for riders who like simple shifting, big tyre clearance and the option to go further off the map. The composite frameset, in-frame storage and flip-chip dropout add up to a bike that is just as comfortable on a quick local loop as it is on a multi-day route across mixed terrain.

Frame & ride

An Advanced-grade composite frame and full-composite OverDrive fork keep weight down without giving up the lateral stiffness you want when you are out of the saddle. Dropped, slimmed seatstays soak up vibration on rough gravel, while the flip-chip rear dropout swaps between a quicker, shorter wheelbase and a longer setting that adds stability and accepts wider rubber. Internal cable routing tidies the cockpit, and integrated mounts make it easy to add cages, racks or bikepacking gear.

This build runs SRAM Apex 1 1×12 shifting with the Apex XPLR rear derailleur, a SRAM Apex 1 Wide DUB 40T chainset and a wide-range SRAM PG-1231 11-44 cassette, so a single lever covers everything from steep loaded climbs to fast tarmac transfers. SRAM Apex hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors keep speed in check on long descents, and the bike rolls on a Giant P-X2 Disc alloy wheelset shod with tubeless 700x45c Giant Crosscut Grip rubber. A Post Moderne dropper with built-in suspension is fitted as standard.
