Description
The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One 600 is a properly capable electric trekking bike that’s happy switching between weekday commute, weekend tour and the kind of long, mixed-surface ride where you need the option to keep pedalling well after lunch. It pairs Bosch’s flagship Performance Line CX drive unit with a 600Wh PowerTube battery, integrated cleanly into the down tube.
Motor & battery
The Aluminium Superlite frame uses Cube’s Efficient Comfort Geometry, with Boost148 spacing at the rear, an Integrated Carrier 3.0 system and full internal cable routing. That carrier is genuinely useful: it’s strong, it’s neatly tied into the frame design and it’s compatible with a wide range of bag and pannier adapters. Up front, an SR Suntour NX1-32 LO Air suspension fork delivers 100mm of travel for taking the edge off rough roads, and the bike runs Boost-spaced 15x110mm front and 12x148mm rear thru-axles for a stiffer, more reassuring ride feel under load.
The drivetrain is Shimano’s Cues 10-speed with an 11-48T cassette, easy to live with and forgiving when you’re shifting under power. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors front and rear keep things calm on long descents, while a Cube suspension seatpost, adjustable stem and 700mm Comfort Trail Bar all add up to a genuinely comfortable cockpit. Mudguards, lighting set and a kickstand are included.
