Description
The Cube Attain C:62 Race is Cube’s gateway into proper carbon road riding, and it pulls together a thoughtful spec around an Attain frameset that has more in common with their high-end road bikes than you might expect. The C:62 carbon frame uses Cube’s Twin Mold technology to manage tube-wall thickness, keeping weight in check while delivering the kind of stiff bottom bracket and head tube that hold their line on fast descents.
Frame & ride
Comfort hasn’t been forgotten in pursuit of speed. The Attain’s carbon stays are profiled to flex slightly at the rear, taking some of the sting out of poor road surfaces, and the full carbon fork helps damp vibration through the bars. Tyre clearance up to 34mm gives you the option to run grippier, lower-pressure rubber on rough lanes or chip-seal, which makes a noticeable difference on long, demanding rides. Internal cable routing tidies the cockpit and makes a small but real difference to airflow at the front of the bike.
The drivetrain is Shimano’s 105 R7100 in mechanical 12-speed form, paired with hydraulic 105 disc brakes that are confidence-inspiring in the wet. Cube’s own RA 2.3 aero disc wheels keep the build smart and dependable, wrapped in 30mm Continental Grand Prix tyres for an everyday balance of speed and grip.
