The ADO Air Carbon takes the folding e-bike format and rebuilds it around a carbon fibre frame and fork, aimed at commuters who care about weight every time they lift their bike onto a train, into a boot or up a flight of stairs. It pairs that lightweight carbon construction with a modern drivetrain and motor package designed for fast, comfortable city riding.
Motor & battery
The drive system uses a Bafang motor managed through a smart torque sensor, which reads how hard you are pedalling and feeds in assistance proportionally. That gives a more natural, bike-like feel than basic cadence-only systems, particularly at low speeds when pulling away from junctions or threading through traffic. Power is transmitted via a carbon belt drive, which keeps the bike clean, quiet and largely free of the routine lubrication a chain demands.
A removable, portable battery makes charging easier when secure outdoor parking isn’t an option: take the battery indoors and leave the frame locked outside. Hydraulic disc brakes provide consistent stopping in damp conditions, while built-in smart connectivity through the ADO Smart App lets you check ride data and bike status from your phone. A claimed range of up to 100km gives genuine scope for longer commutes and weekend exploring.
