Description
The Giant TCR Advanced 1 is a thoroughbred composite road racer aimed at riders who want a bike that responds the instant they push the pedals. Whether you treat your weekends as training blocks or you simply enjoy chasing your own segments, the TCR family has built its reputation on rewarding sharp efforts with sharper acceleration.
Frame & ride
This generation of TCR uses an Advanced-Grade composite frame and matching full-composite fork, with truncated tube profiles refined through CFD modelling and wind-tunnel work to trim drag without softening the rigidity that makes the platform such a willing climber. Cabling runs cleanly through the new Contact AeroLight stem, hiding hoses and housing inside the cockpit for a tidy front end that also pays a small but useful aero dividend.
The drivetrain is Shimano 105 Di2 2×12, mating crisp electronic shifts with a 36/52 chainset and an 11-34 cassette, so steeper climbs and rolling sprints are both well covered. Stopping is handled by Shimano 105 hydraulic discs running 160/140mm rotors, while the Giant P-R2 Disc alloy wheelset is set up tubeless from the factory with Giant Gavia Course 1 700x25c rubber.
