Description
The Cube Editor Hybrid Pro 400X FE is a city-focused electric hybrid that quietly does a lot of clever things. It pairs Bosch’s lighter SX drive system with a 400Wh CompactTube battery, both integrated so neatly into the slim aluminium frame that, at a glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking it isn’t an e-bike at all.
Motor & battery
The Aluminium Superlite frame uses Smooth Welding at the main tube joints for a clean, almost lugged appearance, and the cables are routed internally to keep the lines tidy. Up front, a full carbon fork with internal cable routing trims weight and damps vibration, which makes a real difference on patchy urban tarmac. Cube’s Efficient Comfort Geometry and a slightly raised cockpit, with a Performance stem and Rise Trail Bar, deliver an upright, easy riding position - good for visibility in traffic and friendly to the lower back on longer commutes.
The drivetrain is Shimano’s 11-speed Cues with an 11-50T cassette, giving you a useful spread of gears for everything from flat city sprints to surprise hills, and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors keep stopping confident in the wet. A sturdy ACID rear carrier, full mudguards, integrated lighting and a kickstand are included as standard, so the bike rolls out the door ready for proper everyday use.
